East Side Story and the Breath of Life appeal

East Side Story is the grand finale of a year long fundraising plan called the Breath of Life appeal which aims to raise funds for the Neonatal departments at Good Hope and Heartlands hospital and the resuscitation unit at Solihull. Read below to find out what a good cause it is for!

What the Breath of Life appeal is about

We need your help to raise £300,000 to help the Heart of England Foundation Trust expand the crucial work of its Neonatal units at Good Hope and Heartlands and provide extra equipment for the resuscitation unit at Solihull.

With your help we can improve upon the services we already provide helping to save even more young lives and to deliver excellent medical and nursing care to some of the most vulnerable newborn infants.

Donating to the Breath of Life appeal will ensure that we can access the latest equipment and facilities to support tiny babies who desperately need our care.

We want to –

  • Provide equipment required by our Neonatal units to ensure the highest levels of care.

  • Give extra support and training to the staff working in Neonatology.

  • To provide education, information, support and advice to the families of the babies in our care.

  • To support development and research in Neonatology.
